*New Product! Accordion-Style Book

I have so much new stuff in development, and I can't wait to share it all with you. I am currently working with some amazingly talented individuals on new product offerings, as well as marketing materials. The new website is live, and until my printed product catalog is ready, I'll be "unveiling" new items on my website and blog. The first is this incredibly beautiful handmade accordion-style book from Kim Screen O'Neill, owner and creator of Good Stock Press & Bindery (www.good-stock.com). As with all of the books Kim creates, these books are outlined into a story (complete with your text), expertly designed, digitally printed, and bound into a book the old fashioned way - by a skilled pair of hands. Kim loves books, even more than I do, which is saying a lot! She puts her whole heart into every last detail - from the layout and font that she uses, to color-coordinating the book's spine and ribbon to its images. I have been working with Kim for months on creating the perfect little books to offer to my clients. I wanted something special, something handcrafted and unique, an heirloom. There is a larger storybook coming soon, but first, here is the first look at the accordion-style book. It is the perfect little brag book to make all of your friends jealous (of the book AND your kids), and it looks wonderful displayed on a table or mantelpiece. It also makes a great gift for the grandparents. I look forward to sharing much more with you soon. FYI - Kim started Good Stock as a way to document family histories. If you have a bunch of old photographs, letters, names and dates and other family mementos stuffed and fading away in a box, quit procrastinating and let Kim create a truly unique book worthy of your family's story.

And Baby Makes Four!

Or will soon for Amy, John and big sister Emma. I spent a beautiful spring afternoon capturing this family, as they drew nearer to welcoming their second child. Get ready, Emma!

Introducing Emma

Or Miss Ellingsen, if you please! Two-week-old Emma, daughter of John and Megan (former wedding clients of mine), is quite a little lady. I could not get over how serious, yet refined she seemed. Emma is definitely made of starlet material. (Oh, and the saddle picture! The saddle belonged to Emma's grandfather and I waited patiently for Emma to settle in so that I could get this shot. It was worth the wait.)

The Kings

It is so much fun watching these two little boys, Addison and Griffin, grow up! Jennie, the sister of one of my closest friends, has become one of my longest clients, and my most ardent supporter. It's funny that after several years and about eight photo sessions, this one in February was our favorite to date. Just look at the natural, wonderful joy on the boys' faces; that is what it's all about. Who knew a photo session could be such fun?! (Hint: I did!)

Welcome, Little Ones!

Congratulations to Kuyler & Jamie, whose wedding I photographed two years ago, on the birth of their first child, Katie. Since both mom and dad wear glasses, I couldn't resist placing mom's spectacles on her tiny little face.) Regular clients Jessica & Tony welcomed their second son, Logan Alexander, who looks just like his big brother Aidan did at his newborn session. Congratulations to both newly extended families! I'm thrilled to announce my own latest addition (to my product line) - press-printed 5x7 announcements in the most darling designs. Each newborn session that I photograph (between baby's first day to three months), includes fifty of these cuties, personalized and ready to mail. Now go spend the couple of hours I just saved you taking a much-needed nap!

Back in the swing of things!

Wow, I can't believe it's almost March. I haven't "blogged" since just before Christmas, and here comes Spring! Work has been steady and wonderful, but things are about to really pick up. We have had some beautiful days here in Seattle this past couple of weeks, and I know that I'm anxious to get back outside for those gorgeous photo sessions. Here are a few images from some recent sessions. There is also a new website coming, along with new products, and I can't wait to share it all with you!

Hello, Gorgeous! Emily & Jeff

Emily was the Maid of Honor at a wedding I photographed years ago, and the camera loved her then. You can only imagine how much it loved her when it was her turn to be the bride! Let's just say that I couldn't wait to get my lens fixed on this gorgeous redhead again. The entire wedding took place on November 3rd at a church in Bellevue and the bride did not want to travel far in her gown for photos. As luck would have it, I found an extremely picturesque setting just across the street, and the fall colors could not have complimented the bride, groom and their wedding party any more than they did.

Beautiful boy

Meet Sanjay, a gorgeous, luscious cherub of a boy. His beautiful mom and dad are crazy about him. I'm crazy about him too. Who wouldn't want to stare into those brown eyes and elicit a big, gummy grin from him? Have I ever mentioned that I have the best job in the world?

Alyce & Emma

I first photographed these two sisters when the youngest was just a baby. Here are two beautiful girls and their parents on a rare, clear day in October. (I love trees. I'm absolutely drawn to them, and now I have a new favorite tree here in Seattle. What a beauty!)

Holiday cards

Every year, I barely have time to catch my breath after wedding season before heading into an even busier fall and family/holiday portrait sessions! This year has been no exception, despite our lousy weather. Fortunately, my clients have been creative with their desired locations and willing to brave the elements to get these done! I am especially thrilled with the cuteness and quality of the holiday cards that I'm offering this year. I'll show off a few of my favorite ones here, and then try to post some of my fall sessions, and weddings. (Where does the time go?!)
